Great Kids Farm & Forest Camp
Summer 2024
We Sow Seeds of Fun While Kids Explore, Discover, and Grow
Great Kids Farm is an educational farm owned and operated by Baltimore City Public Schools, hosting student field trips and programs year-round. At Great Kids Farm & Forest Camp, students will engage with nature and their food system in ways that reinforce scientific concepts from the school year, spark connections with the environment, and promote social and emotional well-being. Students will spend most of their time outdoors, exploring the 33 acres of forest, fields, and stream at the farm. Students may only enroll in one session.
And thanks to our donor partners—the camp is free! Scroll down for easy enrollment steps.
Friends of Great Kids Farm provides critical support to keep these offerings free and accessible to all students in Baltimore City, but these programs are managed and led by Farm to School staff, part of Baltimore City Public Schools’ Food & Nutrition Services.

"The full range of interactive, hands-on activities made each day memorable for my daughter and the topic of discussion in the afternoons at pick up."
“It brings me so much joy to watch kids make connections and expand on from what they've been learning in school! … I love playing a part in watching their school curriculum come to life..”
— Luca Dimambro, Part-time Farm to School Educator
"Wonderful program overall. This was the PERFECT activity for him to begin his re-entry. That it was outdoors made him feel safer, and the activities were reportedly ALL fun. Thank you all SO much!"
